Short climbs of easy grades, with easy access. Good for beginners and all year-round climbing. Good overview video.
Routes are described from left to right. All routes are on the south side of the gorge, except for one route on the other side under the bridge.
No issues
If driving from the roundabout of Villa de Arico to Arico Viejo on the TF-28, drive for 2.6km or 1.6 miles and you will cross a short bridge with some parking space immediately after it on the right (28.173917, -16.491862).
Walk to your end side of the bridge and follow a faint foot path westwards. The routes are visible from above. There should be a cairn indicating a descent and you will find a fixed rope to help the scramble down/up (
28.174009,-16.492622 ).
Please keep the crags noise free and clean. Take your trash and toilet papers with you. Locals tend to bring dogs to the crag. It is good manners to use your own gear at the anchors for lowering or setting up top-ropes. Use the anchor rings/carabiners only for the final lower-off after cleaning.
Did you know that you can create an account to record, track and share your climbing ascents? Thousands of climbers are already doing this.
