Description

Nice DWS spot near Puerto de la Cruz! Only possible when swell is less than 1 m. ! CHECK ! Best during the summer when the sea is flat and the water warm. A good option when it is to hot for boulder or climb. Step security is very important for access!

The exit is on the left side, see boulder "exit".

After bouldering, you can on your way back, after the gate, follow the trail to Playa Bollullo (Beach). 15 min Here you can eat, drink or swim.

Or go to visit the lovely Puerto de la Cruz. Maybe you are interested in a new unique boulder pant from Walter Goller. He is crazy about climbing and he is producing Pants for bouldering and climbing and some upcycling works (Bags). You can find his showroom in Cafe "Art & Co" in Calle Mequinez, 25, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Access issues inherited from Tenerife

Most places in Tenerife enjoy free access, however, some require permission which can often be obtained in-situ through QR code scanning, such as Guaria near Guia de Isora, and also some places in the Teide National Park.

Approach

(28.415475, -16.528958)

(28.417389, -16.528472)

Path see map. The path through the banana plantage feels private, but at the end left leads a well travelled (by climbers) path down to the cave.

Arrival by car: From Highway TF-5 at exit 32 follow the TF-31. After about 1,6 km, behind the gas station turn to left into the roundabout and immediately to right into Calle Acevino. Parking after 250 m behind the circle.

Approach on foot: Follow the trail through the tunnel. After 300 m nearly 180° turn to left and pass the gate. Take the trail and at the end turn left through the banana plantage. When leaving the plantage walk downwards carefully. Cragmap!

Ethic inherited from Tenerife

Please keep the crags noise free and clean. Take your trash and toilet papers with you. Locals tend to bring dogs to the crag. It is good manners to use your own gear at the anchors for lowering or setting up top-ropes. Use the anchor rings/carabiners only for the final lower-off after cleaning.
