Nice area within the Barranco Tamadaya. Many Routes in lower and medium grades, and perfectly bolted. Good for beginners, classes and families.

Often crowded, sometimes with whole families, including dogs etc…

More information about current changes and updates, please refer to roxtar.es. Roxtore in Villa de Arico is also a good starting point for local support, accommodations and guiding.

And please, please notice „El barranco es de todos, cuidalo!“. Don’t leave any garbage, tissues or anything…

Approach

When you come by car, park in Calla la Degollada in Arico Nuevo, just before a strong turn to left..... (28.182590, -16.487301) Then walk down to the barranco following the hiking path an turn left towards the Tube.

Ethic inherited from Tenerife

Please keep the crags noise free and clean. Take your trash and toilet papers with you. Locals tend to bring dogs to the crag. It is good manners to use your own gear at the anchors for lowering or setting up top-ropes. Use the anchor rings/carabiners only for the final lower-off after cleaning.
