Description

Located in the upper part of the Ormonts valley, against the vast flank of the Sex-Rouge, the Dar is a climbing site that became famous soon after the first climbs in 1991.

Many well accessible routes, particularly well equipped, on an excellent very rough limestone with lots of runnels and nice holds.

The cliff is separated by a water fall (nice ice climbing in winter!) with the sectors Festival on the left and Mérite Alpin on the right.

Approach

Park at the cablecar. Follow the Prés-Jordan trail for about 15 minutes and, at the yellow mark, shortly before the bridge, climb up left to the base of Festival.

Ethic inherited from Waadtländer Alpen

Always ask the local climbers before rebolting or modifying a local route.

A lot of stuff has been bolted by the Remy brothers, you'll find their contact in the local topo guide.
