Carson Pass Boulders

  • Grade context: US

A fairly concentrated zone of good quality standalone boulders and short edges.

Access issues inherited from Carson Pass

Note: within the Eldorado National Forest you may park anywhere beside highway 88, provided your car is fully off the pavement. Obviously this rule no longer applies once snow season starts.

Instead of following the trail uphill just past the 'Meiss Trailhead Boulder', continue up the old roadbed until it ends then turn left and head uphill. The standalone boulders will become apparent immediately, with some good boulderable edges further up and over the hill, on the northern side.

This boulder field doesn't have any sub-areas or routes yet!
