Description

A great area with something for everyone. It is well covered by tree shade when the leaves are still on, don't expect a lot of sun at the base.

Access issues inherited from Miller Fork Recreational Preserve

The RRGCC received grant money from the Access Fund to help make a $45,000 down payment, and has a plan in place to make five yearly mortgage payments of $40,000, after which the RRGCC will own the MFRP, securing climbing access on that land in perpetuity.

Approach

From the main parking area cross the creek and follow the road past two turnoffs on the left, the second of which leads to Serenity Point/Coopers Cove. Shortly after the second left a short road on the right appears which is the parking for Highlands/Corner Pocket. Continue along the main road, staying right at the fork, until another creek crossing is found. Cross the creek and walk uphill for about five minutes until the road flattens. As the road becomes steep again and more narrow look for the main trail to the left which angles sharply back toward the main wall

Some absolutely insane terrain for the grade, busting through some fairly substantial roofs with general steepness in between. A wild ride.

A bouldery start leads to interesting moves on tufa like holds to plates and edges. This route finishes at the first set of chain anchors.
