A cluster of three or so boulders just uphill and behind "Moby Dick".

Access issues inherited from Santee Boulder Field

Land is privately owned by large developers, but no signs are in place restricting access. Tagging and littering are common issues and groups including Allied Climbers of San Diego regularly hold clean-ups.

Ethic inherited from Santee Boulder Field

Be sure to wipe dirt from your shoes before climbing to reduce the polishing of footholds. Chipping is unacceptable.

Easy friction face around the left side of the boulder.

Rounded arête to the left.

Hand Crack to the left.

Traverse the face

Steep Face with Bad Feet

This may be the same problem as previous (Steep face).

The very thin crack/seam in a bit of a corner.

Face right of the thin crack -- either right or left side of face.

The awkward wide crack between one boulder and the next.

TR the face on the large boulder in the center of the set. (One bolt on top.) (Or, high-ball, of course.)

Gentle to steeper slabs up the right side of the Terrible Face boulder. Lots of variations possible in the 5.4 to 5.7 range.

The following problems are on the right-most of the boulders in this cluster.

The short face around the left side of the right most boulder of the set.

Steep face on the left side, facing toward the other boulders in the set.

A set of flakes going up the left side of the front of the boulder.

Be careful of the ankle-breaking blade of rock in the ground at the base of this problem.

The main face of the boulder, a bit to the right of the flakes.

Farther right along the main face.

The shorter face as the boulder drops off in height.

Climb up the gentle slabs on the right end of the boulder.
