Remoteness, natural beauty and great climbs make this crag a must do.
The access to Thor Peak is almost the same as the access to Mount Asgard. From Pangnirtung, you can take either a 30km boat trip across the fjord to the park entrance if the fjord isn't frozen, or a snowmobile trip if it is. From the park entrance, you have to hike to Mount Thor, crossing a river and seven small streams as you make your way across the valley floor. The trail is marked by man shaped cairns placed at frequent but distant intervals. It is a four hour hike past Windy Lake.
Camping is available with the only official camping area being at the entrance to Akshayuk Valley, but wild camping is allowed. There is also a hut located near the base of Mount Thor which can sleep 2-4 people.
