For all climbers that like to track their climbing activities in more detail, Redpoint offers an App for the Apple Watch to do so. Thanks to its integration with theCrag, theCrag users may directly upload their ascents from Redpoint to their theCrag profile, including details such as exact location, heart rate during the climb and climbing duration.
Record your climbing activityRetourner aux contenus
Redpoint makes use of the Apple Watch barometric sensor in order to detect peaks of each route. This way, the height of each ascent is calculated. Redpoint supports the different gear styles known from theCrag and is optimized for each of them individually. For example gear style Via Ferrata doesn't track ascents, but the whole route via GPS and the altitude profile.
On top of that, users can add metadata to each ascent by swiping to the right. This includes grade and tick type. Redpoint supports a long list of built-in grading systems, but users can also add their own custom scales (e.g. color-coded grades as used by climbing gyms for example).
The tick-types are aligned with the ones used by theCrag.

After you have downloaded Redpoint, go to Settings → Login with theCrag. Afterwards, you will be forwarded to theCrag.com to sign in and allow Redpoint to access your profile.
Transfer your ascents to your theCrag profile
After finishing a climbing session on Redpoint on Apple Watch, the session is transferred to the iPhone app. There, you can assign each ascent with its respective theCrag route. The ascent is then uploaded to your theCrag profile, including the meta data, tick type, difficulty, GPS location and various other parameters.
