This is an overhanging limestone crag that was the first to get any development in Dali in 2006. Again, the majority of the routes here were not bolted by ClimbDali’s team, and lower standards were used. There are currently 8 routes, though one of them is an unclimbed project and the other one is rarely climbed. Given also the absence of nearby accommodation, it is best experienced as a day trip.
The climbing is located within a Buddhist temple complex, and makes for an interesting cultural visit as well as a cool place for climbing. There is a stone stairway that leads from the parking lot all the way to the hanging temple that you can see from the ground. The bolted crag is located about halfway up (10 minute walk). The belay area is paved in concrete and there is a massive banyan tree that provides shade. Locals visiting the temple will often stop to gape at climbers, which is an interesting experience.
