Above the Casucho homestead the homonymous climbing area offers a good view on the junction of the rivers Mijares and Palomarejas. The stretched cliff is separated into multiple small sectors. The so called "detached rocks" (some pinnacles) and a nice rock-alley are the highlights of the spot. The common Casucho pitch is steep pocket pulling up to 30m.

Oberhalb des Casucho-Hofes befindet sich das gleichnamige Klettergebiet am Zusammenfluss des Mijares und des Palomarejas. Das langgezogende Felsband weist eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Sektoren auf deren Besonderheit sicherlich die "Abgetrennten Steine" (Felstürme) und eine schöne Felsengasse sind. Es handelt sich um mehrheitlich senkrechte Routen in löchrigem Kalk mit einer Höhe von bis zu 30m.

Auch wenn das Routenangebot für Kinder bisher gering ist sind doch die Einstiegsbereiche einiger Sektoren als Familienlagerplatz geeignet. Besonders die Sektoren um den Bergfreundeturm und die 'Esquina española'[191585427] bieten sich als Spielplatz für die Kleinen an. An der Brücke über den Mijares befindet sich eine schöne Badestelle in 3 Minuten Entfernung vom Abzweig zum Casucho-Hof.

Sunny south west orientated sector atop a nice terrace. You can find a good rest place for your family beside the eponymous barrel (el bidón). The routes are short and in solid rock.

Steep wall with compact rock on the backside of the 'Bergfreundeturm' with a height up to 30m. The Felsengasse offers some potential for harder pitches. The sun only shows up in the upper part. Despite the shade you will find some good rest places at the ground for your family.

The Bergfreundeturm (pinnacle of the mountain dudes) is a spire with a height of 20m. The routes offer different techniques and styles from crag over face and corners to arêtes. The shady backside with most of the routes is a very good place for climbing on hot summer days. A summit book is waiting on the top for your comments and will keep you up to date with new routes. Despite the shade on the north side you will find some good rest places at the ground for your family. The nice routes on the valley side of the tower getting sun all the day and are therefore only for the cold days.

Der Bergfreundeturm ist ein etwa 20m hoher freistehender Gipfel. Die schattige Rückseite mit den meisten Wegen ist ein guter Ort um an heissen Sommertagen zu klettern. Auch wenn Wandkletterei vorherrscht, findet man schöne Verschneidungs-, Riss- und Kantenprobleme. Abgesehen vom Schatten gibt es im Einstiegsbereich auf der Nordseite gute Lagerplätze für die ganze Familie. Die schönen Routen auf der Talseite sind sehr sonnenexponiert und nur was für die kalten Tage.

El Bergfreundeturm es una torre de aprox. 20m de altura. Las vias tienen buena calidad de roca y unas lineas estupendas con mucha variedad de estilo. La sombra en el barranco entre la torre y el 'Callejón' es perfecto para escalar cuando hace mucho calor. Un buzón de cumbre espera tus commentarios y da informacion sobre nuevas rutas.

A short bulge followed by a dihedral with good rest positions.

The traditional route of the first climbers follows the obvious left keeping crack in the north face. Bring some medium friends and slings and use one bolt of 'Vale la peña' but follow the crack until the end before clipping the same anchors to the right.

The lower part up to the bulge is a nice 7a on mostly good holds with two tricky sequences. Shake well and long moves bring you to the lip. Where a long lock-off (at least for me) will try to spit you off. Clipping the last bolt is not easy and the last moves to the chain are pumpy.

From the start of Luciernaga straight up through the steepest part of the wall. Cool boulder sequence with the best mono ever and a tiny little crimp. The top is a bit of endurance but should be no real problem, if you can rest well after the crux.

starting to the right of Luziernaga and crossing it where the crack goes right. 8 bolts and a chain on top. Tough sequence with a great hidden hold in the upper part. My belayer was scared watching me doing the crux. So when coming down from the first ascent I placed one more bolt there. Enjoy.

Large sector in the center of the Casucho riff. To get there go to the left from 'Steinschleuder' or to the right from 'Horzelbub' on small trails. Steep climbing on very abrasive rock up to 25m on some beautiful natural lines are the positive facts the extreme sun trap after noon is the opposite point.
