Die Hauptfelsen der Dörenther Klippen sind seit 1990 von den Bergfreunden Ibbenbüren e.V. gepachtet und werden von diesen im Sinne eines naturverträglichen Klettersports betreut. Die Felsen liegen außerdem in einem ausgewiesenen Naturschutzgebiet, für das spezielle Kletternregeln vertraglich vereinbart wurden.

There are three possible parking places depending on the clif.
Parking for Osnabrücker Wand is directly at the cliff.
Parking for the eastern cliffs (Brumleytal and Plisseetal) is "Wanderparkplatz Dörenther Klippen".
Parking for the western cliffs (Dreikaiserstuhl, Königsstein and Sattelfels) is "Im Bocketal Wanderparkplatz".
