Located between Potosi and Uyuni on the Ruta 5. Catch a bus from Potosi to Uyuni (or the other direction) and get off the bus next to punto San Juan, approximately one hour south of Potosi.

There are no shops or places to leave rubbish near here. Plan accordingly. Bring all food, and pack out all waste. There is a hut which may be used if previous reservations are made, please see www.climbingsucre.com before approaching.

Brazil is a large country with a lot of climbing potential. Historically most development has focused in the southeast in the states of 'São Paulo', 'Rio de Janeiro' and 'Minas Gerais' however there is now development happening elsewhere.

Styles cover almost everything, from bouldering and single pitch sport routes, to long alpine routes. Climbing gear is very expensive in Brazil (~2-3x what it costs in North America or Europe), making long multi-pitch sport routes more common than elsewhere.

Some guidebooks are easily available for more popular areas (see http://www.companhiadaescalada.com.br/livraria/livraria.htm) but many are only available locally and your best bet is to find a local to show you around. Climbers in Brazil are generally friendly and more likely than average to speak some English. Posting here: http://www.escaladabrasil.com/ may help you find a partner.

Aeroporto Internacional Tancredo Neves, near Belo Horizonte, is the main point of entry to Minas Gerais. The domestic airport of Pampulha is more centrally located and closer to Belo Horizonte's main bus station, where connections to other parts of Minas and the country can be made. Bus travel between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro is feasible, but it is advisable to take leito (bed) bus service late at night and arrive in early in the morning.

Primero toma una camioneta a Salinas de Guaranda. En Salinas toma una otra camioneta a Simiatug. Dice al chofer que quiere salir en el diente del inca o en la intersección a Natawa. De ahí camina unos 15 minutos a la izquierda al punto más alto. Por ahí esta la roca. At first take a pickup truck to Salinas de guaranda. In Salinas take another pickup to Simiatug. Say to the driver that you want to leave at the diente del inca or in the intersection to Natawa. From there walk around 15 minutes to the left up the highest point. Up there is the rock.

One of Ecuador's most developed climbing areas and its undisputed home of multi-pitch climbing.

The striking 500ft volcanic cliffs of Cojitambo sit next to the sleepy town that bears the same name. The climbing is on generally good quality volcanic rock, with lots of technical slab/face climbing, but also steeper routes in some sectors.

Getting to the town Cojitambo is easy but the access trails to the rock can be a little tricky to find.

Cojitambo is located just to the west of the small city of Azogues, which is about 30km from the bigger city of Cuenca. By car, it's about a 30 min drive from Cuenca, by bus it takes around an hour or more as you first have to take a bus to Azogues, then change at the terminal for the bus to Cojitambo.

One of the local legends and developers of the area, Juan Gabriel Carrasco operates a small hostel about 1km west of the main square. Alternatively, Cuenca is a major city with a huge range of accommodation available.

According to legend, this is considered a “heavy” place since at midnight, a music band used to be heard that surprised the nearby towns. It is also said that he was “haunted” because there it was customary to bury the dead with all their clothing, in clay vessels and that at midnight the souls went out to the church to pray, after which they returned to their grave. Huayllay es una impresionante extensión de roca volcánica (entre volcánica y filoliana), encontraremos placas, extraplomos, techos, fisuras, chimeneas, torres y muchos bloques.

El bosque de rocas es grande y confuso, es fácil perderse así que con cuidado. Las brújulas pueden verse afectadas por la carga magnética de la zona.

Dentro del bosque existen diferentes zonass diferenciadas por las cuales se puede pasear y boulderear. En algunas de estas existen rutas de escalada, pero no en todas. Los sectores de escalada suelen estar muy alejados entre si, incluso hay rutas equipadas que con el tiempo y la desinformacion han sido olvidadas.

住宿

Existen en Canchacucho dos restaurantes de carretera que ademas alquilan habitaciones. Se puede hablar con el Sr. Alcibiades Cristobal o con la Sra. Maruja Herrera, guía turística y presidenta de la Comunidad de Campesinos para pedir algún lugar de acampada, información de las rutas (pues ella posee algunos de los topos del lugar) o incluso un tour por las zonas de escalada más frecuentadas.

Huaraz, located 415 kms north of Peru's capital Lima, is an outdoor lover's paradise. There are dozens of hiking and mountain bike trails.

It is an alpine climbing mecca with thousands of people coming here each year to complete epic tours up the Andes.

There are plenty of alpine climbing stores and there are some sport climbing stores scattered amongst them. The town center is the best place to find these stores.

There are night busses running from Lima everyday from most bus companies. The cost is between 70-135 PEN (sols) (26-46 USD). The three main bus companies are Cial: Chepest of the lot, however the 9 hour night ride is still very manageable. Movil Tours: Mid range Cruz Del Sur: Top of the line, however the 21:00-06:00 travel time brings very little advantage over Cial.

住宿

There are loads of hostels for all budgets. I can highly recommend Olaza. It is a mid range hostel costing 100 Sols per night per room. It is very very clean, well run, breakfast (with massive pot of coffe), hot water with great pressure located about 15min walk from the town center.

The first rock climbing spot in Suriname!

Lucho Birkner and Mati Fuentes, two Chilean climbers, with the help of the local enthusiastic climber Julio de Rooy (a professional tour guide that found the potential of Ebba Top granite rock) were bolting and setting the first rock climbing spot of Suriname in 2020, located on Ebba Top!

There is a small artificial climbing wall in the village of Boslanti that was built as part of the "Climbing for a Reason" project in 2020.

The country now boasts sport climbing lines, plus 1 boulder gym at Paramaribo and other 2 small walls on schools, all managed by local climbers.

Acceso principal muy amistoso por playa Las Grutas en Punta Ballena, a 1km del cruce entre la Ruta Interbalnearia (IB) que conecta Montevideo y Maldonado/Punta del Este, y la calle Francisco Antonio Aime. Una vez en el estacionamiento de la playa, caminar hasta la garita del cuida coches al final del estacionamiento y seguir unos metros bordeando la roca hasta ver las primeras chapas a mano derecha.

El mar trae mucha basura hasta la playa, no olvidar llevar una bolsa y levantar algo de ésta cuando se visita, para cooperar con su mantenimiento.

Décadas atrás la gruta fue usada como local nocturno. Aún queda infraestructura en su interior.

you have to take the bus (cotmi) in direction to "Mal Abrigo" at the tres cruces terminal. the fist bus starts at 6:15am and you have to say to the driver that you want to go down at the entrance of SIerras de la Mahoma two kilometers farther than Mal Abrigo.

you will spend like 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive. At the entrance you have to walk 5 minutes until the reception of the place.

You have to paid for the day like 3 us dollars, and if yo want to stay the night camping is like 5 us dollars per night.

Also you have rooms for rent at the main entrance and in the same place they owners sell food and drinks.

From the reception until the first boulder you have to walk 10 minutes more.

Don´t forget to carry with all kind of brushes.
