攀登 in Orange Streak Wall

Rough start for the grade, and lots of ways to go wrong. Beta: MAYBE a 16 if you already know to stick to the arete's reach around holds until you can stem. Once there it's a doddle - you can happily get both feet to the other side and almost walk up a meter or two, then easy slab climbing back on the face. You don't even go near the 'secret' pocket hold. But the start still Pumpy.

Entirely different climb if you don't stem, but no way it's a 16 if you don't.

The combination of the tree traverse and the rope drag made it, ummm, interesting.

Impressed by Jack finishing the run out lead on dead arms.

I'm a bit torn about this climb. The crux feels fairly stiff but quite nice. Unfortunately the rock vibrates under your feet! It gave me the heebie jeebies

up flake then battle through bulges

Top rope not so comforting when it was tangled at the 2nd bolt - had to be a little bold in trusting slabby smearage. The crux of this climb is probably getting to the first bolt before you even cross from the boulder to the main wall.

Could not pull the crux!

Did a batman start as the boulder was a bit scary

A world easier than the nearby '16' - I"d reverse the grades. Although that's on a top-rope. Maybe the bump up to 19 is for the brave leap across the abyss.

I couldn't find that secret hold...

I sort of enjoyed this. Rock down low is average but higher up is decent. Very noticeable crux on slopes with poor feet. Didn't quite solve it on the 2nd attempt either.

Bit dirty, broke a few holds but the moves are fun

19/20 without stemming to block. hard moves to drilled pocket and thru.

Start just up access gully. More like 18. Apparently it is 16 if you stem back against the wall.

A little dirty in places not too hard.

Very hard for 16. The 19 to the left of this is easier. Ugly looking drilled two finger pocket.

Start on boulder. A bit spooky but only grade 17.
