Big wall'in on a big sea cliff. Pay close attention to the rap description, as andy and myself got off line and a rope stuck. Poor andy had to prussic 40 odd metres to free the rope and a big swing by myself to get back on line.

We did the 20 start with a wild and memorable belay 3m above the surging sea. Make sure you climb left on the second pitch.. The two hard pitches up top are great fun with the 23 crux crack boulder problem awesome fun.

Long Long and wicked fun. As far as a warm up goes I was pretty pumped at the top after a well fought fight. The mix of trad and bolts keeps you on your toes the whole way with many thought provoking sections and sick moves.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride..

This was taipans parting gift for the couple of days hard work and average weather.

After a couple quick working shots on the crux and a good brush I sent through the crux pitch and then went on to Onsight the top.

A climb that will stay with me forever and a fight that left me feeling totally wrecked. Amazing linking the top two pitchs.

The one long pitch... A big hold had recently broken off above the first bolt but I doubt it really changes the grade. A couple of interesting moves and a couple of cams takes you to the half way ledge and a rest before attacking the upper pitch. I found the top sequence harder and not as good as I thought it would be. Sadly its contrived and hard to stay off the top moves of Sacred Site.

Sadly not as good as I was hoping Some cool moves for sure and great rock but it kind of cuts left when the going gets tuff.

Wow that's a pitch and a half. I tried getting all the gear in the right places with long runner but the rope got stuck in the first flake, mega drag Sent second shot but was really working up top and that first run out is very gripping!!

What a way to finish the trip... Messed up the Onsight but dialed it down for the send. Sweet route if you like slope crimps and mono's.

Summit fever. The best route on the Moai and a classic for the grade. Plenty of gear and fun moves with a few bolts to protect the harder stuff. Climbed in approach shoes

Just seconded paul on the 23 trad pitch. Still very pumpy but not as bad as I remember, lots of good gear if you can hang around to place it.

A fun and loose way to escape a fun day at the moai. Fun in its own right.

Repeat. Used as access for to asteroids.

I struggle on the crux of the second pitch and the start is still hard but other then that the climb felt a little easier on the whole. Link 3 & 4 for the mega pitch.

Top rope gear check lap. One of the best introductions to trad at kiddo

Stone fort goes down. What a rad trad day out in the gross and what an awesome climb. 98% good rock and bomber gear the whole way. Not that hard for the grade, I think I managed to sport climb any of the harder crack sections. Onsight odd pitchs, clean second evens.

If you have been thinking about doing this climb I highly recommend it.

Just like an arapiles steep trad gully grovel but in all the best ways. The steep groove start kept trying to spit me out but like a tick I dug in and up to easier ground up and left. Great layback finish with bomber gear.

A great long pitch to say you have climbed on taipan. Good gear the whole way with a bomber wire on the last head wall protecting the tricky and reachy finish.

Fun value at 18, escaping the cell is hard work then the climb keeps going and going. Good gear the whole way but use lots of long draws.

Nice to tick off another araps Classic. Not that hard but super fun at the grade with great gear and a awesome mix of styles and climbing. I found the last layback section the hardest.

I hadn't been on this for 6+ years. Like visiting an old friend.. Hard.

That crux really makes you work hard. Lots of bomber gear and the run-out start isn't to bad with a side runner.

What an awesome long adventure. I didn't mind the unprotected start just set a good over grip start for the rest of the route. With no chalk on the route some of the slab sequences could have gone either way. Piddo classic for sure.

Whats a classic piddo day with out climbing in the rain, thinking you might die on the 10m+ runouts and having to bail off via bum sliding down at tree.. A climb to remember for sure..

Kind of fun and a good adventure. Take lots of long draws.

The way we climbed this up comeing on Chris, with the gear in it 22...Max. Still a fun climb with some great holds and bomber gear.

One of the best routes on the wall, great to do a repeat lap today.. Loooong and pumpy with lots of tricky moves and rest jugs. It really keeps coming at you for 40+ metres. Great to lower off to the ground with an 80m rope.

Not quite as good as I remember, maybe because I found it harder.. Still the best 23 on the wall. Rad and Long

Nice long sustained warm up. Its never that hard but it keeps you thinking right up to the finish.

Thankfully Geoff put the 17 draws up so I could sail through for a quick send. Great long route with a good rest half way. Should see more traffic.

Repeat with the new rungs. Harder then I remember it but much nicer to get off.

Another quick lap. This climb has now been extended another couple of bolts past the mantel.

I wasn't expecting much from myself but after climbing clean through the steep crack start and keeping calm on the thin/funky face I found myself under the roof resting for the finally boulder. With a scream that would have made Ondra proud I topped the route :0 Happy days..

My first sample of the mega wall. I was cruising until I got to the funky side pull crux then it all went wrong.. Some hard pulling got me back on line but set a pump for the rest of the route. This rock takes a bit of getting used to but it all in the body positions.

FFA. Oh how sweet it is to send this dream line. 14 shots over 5 weeks, first shot today done and dusted..

My hardest and best first ascent, who want the second ascent??

The draws were up so I gave it a lash. Really fun sub 25 climbing up to the middle double boulder. Punted the crux second shot, boned down and snuck through for a third shot send.

First 28 in a day

Nice long warm up. That start crack is very tricky.

Getting much better with traffic, much longer and pumper then I remember.

Second shot after muffing the hard clip above the anchors on the first. The climbing is good but may be a little harder after a crimp broke off at the top? (and landed on my head)

Sweet to clean up this 3 year dog.

Well it hasn't gotten any easier, in fact I think I got more scared and pumped this time.. My hats off to Damo for a clean chalk-less second.. I was gripped.

Sandbag myself on my own route... Harder then I remember, nice to pull thought second shot. I may have to bump this to 25

Lap 5, could be the best 5 at Bell.

Well I like it, easy to avoid most of the harder moves, but will still warm a fine pump.

Always fun lap.

And why not.. Don't underestimate these long climbs, this one is 35m plus and many spots where you could blow it. I Iucked and muscled it thought the low crux but really to dig deep up the very top thin and tricky corner. Awesome.

I guess the grade is a bit of a swinging debate at the moment..?

Tricky start roof boulder then nice climbing on fun holds and good rock.

A good egg this one. Fun pocket start, cool mantel and fun jugs to the top. I kept expecting it to get hard but then reached the anchours.

Ticked screaming, took one draw off the extension and went on a juggy mission for the full tick. Awesome crew of Queensland super stars climbing at coolum today, super fun day.

Fun pumper lap on Paul's draws. A little soft with the mcdoogle at the crux but still a great fun.

So we didn't do this but it was close.. Turns out linking the SFH into the top of ghost in a shell is super hard, sustained, runout, scary and bold. Oh plus the rock is pretty soft and is missing a few more holds now. Gripping!!
