Descrição

The two boulders sitting neatly to the left of Seize The Day. Landings are pretty well built up, some gardening could be required.

Questões de acesso herdado de Duck Reach Bouldering

Access is no problem unless the water is very high.

Annoyingly, there have been numerous recent reports of break-ins at the top carpark. Maybe consider taking any valuables down to the cliffs with you, or at least keep them stashed well out of sight.

Acesso

Approach as for Seize The Day and you will be right next to them.

Crag Stewards

Rock climbers please contact the Crag Steward (eskriver@climbersclubtas.org.au) if you have any queries or concerns regarding social or environmental impacts of rock climbing at this crag.

Do not email regarding general travel, seasonal advice, or lost property - this is not the Steward’s role. If you have important safety information to communicate (e.g. risks due to recent and large rock falls) please also consider updates on thesarvo forum, Facebook group and/or online guidebooks as appropriate. Please copy in cct@climbersclubtas.org.au if you feel you have a high-level concern which may imminently impact the crag or climbing community.

Other

• The operation and use of drones by park visitors on reserved land including national parks is not permitted

• Peregrine Falcons nest from July - December each year. It’s important that climbers don’t climb near active nests during this period. Known sites (non exhaustive) are: Sand River (Far East, The Panopticon), Bare Rock (R of the Boneyard, L of Bisso of Orange), Rocky Cape, Pubic Wall/Duck Reach, Hillwood, Gunners Quoin, Lowdina.

• Please note that Tasmania has notoriously patchy phone reception for particular service providers. Telstra is the most reliable. An emergency Personal Locator Beacon or similar is recommended kit when climbing in remote locations.

Needs a clean but could scrub up well. The faint line straight up the face left of Converted.

Team FA'd by Nick, Kobi and Eli. Lovely Featured arete left of Carpe Diem. Stand start on good holds and head straight up.

Stand start at good juggy rail and head straight up with sidepulls, underclings, slopers and crimps. A good all rounder!

FA: Ali Roush, 10 Jul 2022

Sit start as for Dead Poets Society and head left into Carpe Diem. Looks to be good climbing!

Sit start on good RH crimp and good LH edge and head up into juggy rail. From here, turn the arete and dance your way up to committing mantle.

FA: Tommy Krauss, 2013

Stand start and follow the runnel feature up and out. Poetry in motion!

FA: Ali Roush, 10 Jul 2022

Stand start with hands low on either side of the arete, slap your way up to gain the lip and mantle out to the left. Classic Dolerite squeezing.

FA: Ali Roush, 10 Jul 2022

Sit start on the LH side of the squeeze bloc with both hands on a thin patina. Turn the arete and finish as for Squeeze The Day.
