攀登 in Eastern Ontario having 攀爬攻略

FA against all odds after broiling in the sun all day cleaning and bolting the line. Felt a little blasphemous putting bolts by the crack, but everyone should enjoy this one!

Crack technique on a sport climb 👍 Too bad it's all concentrated into the last couple bolts.

Great consistent line with a cool finish.

Worth doing for the comedic novelty of the squeeze, for sure. Don't let your guard down, though.

Do as the name suggests! Some cool lateral movement unlocks the line.

I biffed the beta a bit. Take your time to map it out and itll go at the grade.

Fun, moderate climbing to an abrupt, tricky crux at the top.

Crux is basically immediately off the ground. Blew the move and flash because of wet feet/seepage, good thing I was stick clipped. Pulled back on and redpointed immediately. Fine but above is far too easy for the grade, especially the top half. Traverse makes rope drag and cleaning a bit of a pain (we extended draws 2, 3, and 4)

Delicate down low, careful mini roof sections, then a straightforward slab. Great at the grade for this crag

Came back to send it clean. Great route

Absolutely height dependant for the crux eponymous "pull up" over the roof. I could barely reach at 173 cm. Slab climbing is good and fun above. Tricky balancey clip at bolt 4 I think it was. Great route

Spooky boulder problem to start, even with the 2nd bolt, maybe still ground fall potential. Belayer needs to be on high alert, stick clip advised. Fun though, and then juggy 5.5 or 5.6 to the anchor after the first 3 bolts

Not sure I did this right... climbed the face and stayed out of the corner until the roof. Used a small block in the corner for a left foot while I pulled over the roof. Seemed impossibly hard for 5.9 to not at least dab a foot in the corner at the roof (draw 4 I think?). Anyway, claiming the tick. Kinda confusing beta description

Cool very long low angle slab. Upper section is harder - keep right of bolt line. We did a faux-multipitch here and put a photographer on the big ledge. Really fun

Absolutely love this route. Sustained crimpy boulder problem from bolts 2 to 4. There is a hidden jug mid problem to rest on. Once you're in the chimney, you're done.

Commit to the rail above the roof - it's better than it looks! Psychological crux

Excellent, long route. Take the time to find the best clip stances through the crux.

Blew the flash, but got it on the next go. Awesome route! Hacked the crux with a modern compy move - turns out you can do that stuff outside!

Another fun route. Continued to the top of Skywalker Saga.

Super fun route on good holds. We climbed it as two pitches for practice.

Did the V5 variant.

First climb in Canada

I thought that was part of Synergy. Would make sense since there's no proper anchor on the ledge for Synergy (can't clean and lower off from just two bare bolts).

Good route. Happy I got the finish. Could use another bolt before the anchor.

A bit dirty. I also stopped at the random first anchor, not realizing it continues. Super run out gear for that first bit (I placed only one piece)

The route is great, but it's spoiled a bit by the scary bolting at the bottom. I would suggest replacing the second bolt with a lower one further to the right, and adding another bolt between bolt 2 and 3.

Scary downclimb

Did the Kenobi start, this time of year there are little rivers running all over the rock so you have to do a lot of traversing to stay dry.

Great spot to bring beginners.

Probably a really dope climb with some cleaning, but currently pretty dirty and overgrown. did it as one pitch (mistake) rope drag was brutal. really different than anything else you’ll find in calabogie.

New project for me, feels like it's got some really exciting moves.

Hard and blind mantle over the bulge makes the crux of this climb. Requires some power, didn't have it today.

Was too tired to lead it.

Was a battle of inches, would love to try it again someday.

I don’t recommend climbing it on May 3, 2024 (wet around the 4th and 8th bolts) but a very cool line!
