攀登 in Tāhuna / Queenstown by Adam Sanders having trad-cpr 或 ascent-date

This is a pleasant route in a great position. It's well protected throughout and has moments of great climbing broken by ledges. Upper pitches are fun. We found them soft at the grade, especially if you know how to stem/crack climb. Overall it was a great day out. 3 hrs on route including rappels. 7 hours car to car.

Lives up to hype! Amazed at how lines like these are discovered and equipped. Really well protected and varied throughout! Unfortunately I lost the onsight on the last 2 metres of the whole climb, rushed the final moves with a pump and took the whip. Would climb again though for sure! Swung leads with Tomas. We found the crux to be setting up rappels whilst being swarmed by what felt like the entire sandfly population of Dart Valley.

Bit dirty. Decent crack climbing, would be a grade harder if you couldn't jam.

It's definitely good. Fantastic climbing and rock on 1st and 4th.

Justin led 2, 4,and 7. I fell on the crux pitch following, but no lead falls.

Climbed in sub-par conditions. Frost was on the lower part of the wall, and snow melt was on the upper pitches. The line felt forced, but had a pitch or two of star-worthy climbing. Moved left on the crux pitch (shorties will struggle to protect what is a much harder than a grade 20 move) - found nice movement and gear to the left of first anchor. Wont be back soon, if at all. Glad to have climbed it with Justin though! Thats Double Cone ticked off for us.

A really good climb. Some questionable rock but great gear the whole way. Would be a grade harder if you couldn't jam/crack climb.

Went up to suss the third pitch. Didn't end up trying it today.k

A great rambly outing - pleasant grade 12 climbing with obvious protection. Don't overthink the routefinding: stay 5 or so metres left of buttress crest and move through two overlaps in the slabs via good cracks, Follow lovely open chimney up to halfway ledge for the 5th pitch. Very soloable from halfway ledge. Off via the GT and the SE Gully. 7 hours car to car.

Some pitches of great quality, and some rambly ones too. I took a wrong move on Pitch 5 and we picked our way up through some interesting terrain - the crux pitch is quite good. Climbed in 8 hours from the car to the summit. Swung leads with Josh, team onsight.

Up in 5 hours, down in 2 hours. Belays are super obvious, and the route is easily climbed in 8 pitches. Bivy rocks at 950m contour are comfortable. High bush bashing to climbing ratio - bring a machete? Worth a visit though! Great overnight mission right in the backyard.

Needs anchors, then would be quite good.

Another tricky 16. It makes you think. Bomber nuts all the way.

Class, especially the third pitch.

Simul-climbed as a 3. Single Cone summit for NYE.
