攀登 in Cat Ba Island by Ian 溫翊恩 having sport-cpr 或 ascent-date

“Some argue these last moves are 7c” - count me amongst them. Remains listed at 7c in the 2023 guidebook, and goes as hard as most 5.12d / 7c that I’ve climbed. Right hand ring finger split deep and bled profusely, but I managed to redpoint with a taped tip.

Crux featured a heady bolt to hang and clip mid sequence, ledge looming below. Stellar finger crack.

Wonderful exposure, view, and movement. I pulled the rope and rethreaded before starting, at the anchor of P1, which mitigated all rope drag and made for an enjoyable climb belayed from the ground.

Another excellent pumper. Superb ceiling flip into a technical finish.

Pumpy endurance climb, overhung and with good holds. I somehow didn’t disturb the hidden wasp’s nest during my onsight, but kicked it while cleaning. Paid for it with a few stings, and then a few more when I went back for my remaining gear!
