Length: 650m Height: Up to 250m Difficulty: Rated at VF3A C K3

Summary: Poor protection, average rock quality.

Location: Murwillumbah, Nobbys creek road, Second nob. Ask owners permission.

Route: Start to the right of the vertical section. Whack a sling around a protusion roughly 12m up (the crux). continue to first ledge. Then to the next ledge. Finish up to the old gnarly gum tree. Walk down the nob ( cant rap). 60m rope needed.

Check every foot hold and hand hold before placing weight and don't grab the jugs. They at at risk of being pulled off the wall. General wall features are good for holds otherwise. Worth a look if your bored and want a quick climb with a long walk down. Beautiful scenery and setting. Not a lot of climbing. Climb can be seen from western side of mount. Follow road/path down the rear of the path and look back at the mount to see the face.

Follows the back side of a stone pillar.

A great area for novices and as an introduction area. Short approach, minimal bushwhacking, just off a main highway near Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.

This route has been lost to the jungle.

watch out for poison sumac… route best if climbed without rope and "HIGH-balling the inner route.

Three cracks lead up the initial short wall to the large ledge running below the main face. This starts up the left-hand crack.

1. 9m Up the crack to big ledge and move left to base of another crack.

2. 24m Up the crack and step right to a sentry-box at 18m. Bridge the sentry box to a large ledge.

Not a bad route, especially the first 30m or so. Start below the middle of 3 short cracks leading to the big ledge about 9m up.

1. 9m Crack to huge ledge.

2. 27m Step left then up the left-hand of twin cracks to the S-curve. Follow this left and up to belay below the sentry-box of Gawker.

3. 27m Move left and up wide left-sloping crack (a good alternative is to bridge the sentry-box section on Gawker).

1. 18m As for Sacre Bleu to the ledge.

2. 28m Traverse L through the crack and up easily below the crack.

3. 34m Up the crack to a cave then up R to the gap behind the pillar.

A classic layback start.

Start: 7m left of Zodiac Crack in obvious layback crack on ground level.

1. 9m (crux). Up crack and traverse right 6m to piton belay.

2. 23m Traverse right to arete and up to bushy ledge and tree belay.

3. 12m As for Zodiac Crack.
