Ascensioni in Terrarium

Surprisingly, not only physical, but also technical. Good two finger pockets with not so good footholds on a 45 degree wall require some big twists to even do a clip! Gotta return some day for it .

3rd go. short, steep, beautiful!

Had a hard time even doing the single moves. I don't know what it was, but I felt heavy and weak.

Didn't hit the two-finger pocket after the first bolt, but I was surprised how much lighter I felt in this second try.

Fell off the clipping hold for the third bolt, just before it's over. Bummer!

Slipped out of the clipping hold for the second bolt … didn't hit it in the right spot.

Yay! I didn't think that I would have the endurance for another go, but somehow it worked out, and quite smoothly so. Listen up folks, word of advice: not making mistakes gets you to the top much easier!

Tried to redpoint it as a #warmup, knowing well that I might fail. And I did. The high first bolt doesn't go well with the dynamic moves below it, and the middle section doesn't forgive any mistakes, so I got too pumped.

I still got close to falling in some sections. So steep … The rusty expansion bolts should be replaced some time.

The storm was getting stronger so I made a last attempt without resting. Tried to avoid the slimy pocket with a long move but didn‘t have the power. Short but good.

Put up the draws and checked out if important holds were wet. One slimy pocket in the crux.

Slightly more powerful, this variant follows the holds further up in the overhang through the short middle section before coming down to jugs again. The low traverse might actually be harder for tall people.

Dabbed here and there and got confused in the end.

Nice traverse with a hard section right at the beginning and then sustained on good holds to easy terrain. Kneebar before the final section
