总结

Awesome area with the classic compression roof 'Cosmic Artefact' being a definitive highlight. Potential for some hard highballs and some hard projects in the roof itself.

准入问题 取自Cheynes Beach Boulders

NO CLIMBING IS PERMITTED WEST OF THE WAYCHINICUP INLET BETWEEN THE INLET AND NORMANS BEACH (THE AREA IS WITHIN THE MT MANYPEAKS NATURE RESERVE)

前往

Take the 4WD track towards back beach. The track gets more difficult after the rocky outcrop. Follow the track down then take a left before back beach and park at the end of the track. From here take the vague trail East and left-ish before an easy scramble down to the coast.

Clean tick marks and caked chalk. Clean up your rubbish. No chipping, gluing or bolting. Keep to the obvious ESTABLISHED trails and do not bash new trails.

Miscellaneous boulders around the Cosmic Boulder

Stand start. Up the left arete with the obvious pocket in the middle of the face. Crux stretch up high...being over 180cm tall makes the problem V1.

Easy slab to the right and around the corner from ‘Anus’.

Up the middle of the highball face with the obvious crack (optional sitter). https://youtu.be/V9MTsGop4ZQ?t=14

Sit start with underclings and up.

首攀: Michael Taran, 12月 2019

Sit start.

Sit start

Stand start with obvious flake. Up then left onto the slab to finish as for 'Propulsion'.

首攀: Michael Taran, 12月 2019

High and easy low angle slab.

首攀: Unknown

Highball shield. Proud and hard.

Needs the landing to be sorted!

Sit start. Awkward topout.

首攀: Unknown

Awesome roof with many holds offering some classic lines on solid rock with a couple of hard lines still to go. The problems can be rationalised into two starting positions with multiple exits and one problem independent of these starts on the far left.

Sit start on the far left (on the raised terrace).

首攀: Michael Taran, 8月 2019

Sit start on the far left with far left hand slot and right hand on the obvious rail under the roof. Swing your feet up and go.

Sit start on the far left with far left hand slot and right hand on the obvious rail under the roof. Swing your feet up and go. Straight up the obvious crack.

High traverse right along the jug flake then up and diagonally right with good holds

首攀: Michael Taran, 8月 2019

Take the low traverse on the bulge avoiding the jugs up high to topout on the right before transitioning under the roof. Up with the breadloaf pinch.

首攀: Michael Taran, 8月 2019

Transition under the roof to the compression sequence then instead of continuing under the roof transition back around to the main face with awkward moves to gain the face and topout. A bit dabby.

首攀: Michael Taran, 6月 2020

The original line. Take the compression sequence all the way under the boulder into the undercling jugs and then up the back of the boulder into a claustrophobic finish. Pumpy and awesome… classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ie5MkeZdxc

首攀: Michael Taran, 8月 2019

Transition under the roof then instead of compressing quest into the main cave with shoulder moves. A drop off matched at the obvious jug slot of the flake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqRRe-UzzAA

首攀: Michael Taran, 5月 2020

Climb ‘The Accretion Disc’ and continue questing the roof with very hard moves to gain the jugs at the lip and drop off. Will be mega hard and mega cool.

Adds 4 bulk hard moves. 3 of which have now been done in isolation.

Start at the jug slot where you drop off for 'The Accretion Disc'.

Cosmic Artefact’ into ‘Special Relativity’. Mega pump fest with awesome moves…

首攀: Michael Taran, 11月 2020

Sit start perched on the rock with hands matched on the sloper rail on the back of the boulder.

Start matched on the slopey rail on the ‘back’ of the right side of the boulder seated on the prominent rock. Reverse ‘Cosmic Artefact’ to topout with the jugs on the left (Space Junk Vol 1 or 4). Rad reverse sequence with some different beta! Can’t believe I didn’t think of it before! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=er5TeWedVKI

首攀: Michael Taran, 8月 2020

Do the reverse compression sequence then finish as for ‘Space Junk Vol 2’. Rad fun pumpy one with a bit more of a desperate finish.

首攀: Michael Taran, 9月 2020

Awkward exit up the far right face as for ‘Asteroid Belt’.

首攀: Michael Taran, 9月 2020

Up the back face from the slopers.

首攀: Michael Taran, 7月 2019

Reverse the compression sequence making the shoulder crux of ‘The Accretion Disc’ an epic.

首攀: Michael Taran, 9月 2020

Start as for 'Special Relativity' climb ‘Special Relativity’ to the jug flake then double back and finish as ‘Cosmic Artefact’. Another pumpy one to train on

首攀: Michael Taran, 12月 2020

Flat area near the ocean. Lots of easy stuff done that wasn't worth documenting... if it's V4 or easier and obvious it's probably been done!

Sit start. Up the left crack with slightly awkward moves.

首攀: Michael Taran, 1月 2020

Sit start (avoid dabbing the heel) and up the right crack.
