攀登 in Arapiles as All free with rest

Good to see an old route getting lots of traffic after a quick retro bolt. Hopefully can send it next time

This is a pretty strong 23 with a very interesting Crux, quite a hard Onsite

Actually did all the moves! Also took my first ever whip on trad which was sick. Figured the sequence now just gotta get back and send

I got shut down at the jamming crux, and continued gingerly to the top.

Have learnt I like to build gear nests then run it out

Lives up to the description. Felt like I was doing the crux sequence hard but it's the only beta I have! Ran out of steam and couldn't finish on the send attempt.

Fun climb. Psyched myself on a move and rested on a nut, saw the hold I missed then went for it. (Note to self to down climb) Head game wasn't good on this climb but good to push through and problem solve.

Ive been looking at it for 5 weeks this year.. finally on a sleepy rain morning, stefan came introduced himself and said he was keen on orestes. While conversing with some hotshot tassie climbers, i felt compelled to volunteer myself for the cane, so we trooped up the wet slab. I found the low section worked well for me and as expected, got slapped by the traverse jugs where more than a few sits were needed. Great feeling to attack something hard here with abundant gear and favourable to my style. The most inclined ive felt to have a project. Might drag yim out here tuesday. He wont see this cos he ditched thecrag.

Attempted in approach shoes ... no good... need the dancing shoes.

Didn’t notice a huge footer meaning I grabbed a draw

Went to go for my hardest trad lead. The guide book said 17, thought it was just because I was leading at my limit but 18 on the crag seems fair after chatting with James. Pretty fun climb despite the length.

A few more sessions and she will go clean.

Beautiful route with 3 very different cruxes! Would be nice to lead it clean one day.

Awesome stuff, should have got it but just couldn’t, from a jam to face.

Didn’t know what this was until after I finished the route. Could do the mantle clean.

Did all moves but one first go. Injured pulley meant that right hand crimp was a no go, one to file away for the future
