攀登 in Muldoon Area

Failed attempt at leading the first pitch (sad face).

Great moves on the top pitch.

I got a bit scared on the first pitch. The second pitch was awesome!

First pitch (17) involves a small amount of crack climbing and was a little scrubby but a lot of fun nonetheless. Second pitch (16) has amazing exposure and great handholds. You top out on a free(ish)standing spire that either involves a tricky downclimb (of only about 2m) or a rap onto the nearby (large) ledge using natural pro. We struggled to get our rope back a bit, but it's doable and probably preferable to the downclimb.

Very cool feature to climb.

Fun grunty crux on P1, probably placed too little gear. The downclimb at back is a little spicy.

As a single pitch as usual.

Lots of challenging climbing on this very fun route. Lead it in one pitch and climbed the middle of the headwall.

Linking both pitches + using 2x 60m caused some heavy work top-belaying

Enjoyable, probably closest thing to an alpine experience at arapiles with the choss at the top. Good fun.

One pitch. Thought it was at least two stars, it’s like Muldoon with the airy jugs but slightly more involved crux, nice if you can do a hand jam or two. Went straight up the last bulge but a bit to the right on the previous one.

Great varied line. Mucked up the crux first time... touch of rope burn to make me remember the lesson. String together as a single pitch.

First Arapiles climb! Loved this climb. Some fun overhangs with great jugs, some nice easy chimney practice! Got super pumped trying to take out all the nuts.

Careful downclimbing required getting off the pinnacle at the back, not great for beginners. Or belay your party down to the ledge/ left and not up to the pinnacle.
