攀登 in South Mitre as Flash

Followed up giving Evelyn a hand. Fun climb and a lovely summit.

First pitch is an easy jug run. Second is at the grade.

The second pitch was quite unexpected, but really fun. Ran this out in one pitch, the rope drag was a bit much at the end

Mitch wan it out

Mitch and Alexis led, which meant that I got to go full alpine princess. Climbed with an empty harness and in my work boots.

Loved the down climb, epic

First move on the second pitch is very stiff for the grade, big exposure for the rest of the pitch too

Spicy slab start and strong crack climbing. Very powerful.

First Trad lead under the supervision of Trad Daddy

Looked wet and turns out it was wet. Really slimey and some green funk near the top. Watched my mate just gain the last hold near the platform as his last two pieces of gear popped out. Little exhilarating to watch. A fine top rope line to clean and I think there were much better gear placements near the top. Both rapped off as we didn’t fancy the scramble.

Really good, excellent finish - a range of skills and some rope drag management needed. Grade 11 I think?

Some less convincing rock that would fall of if it was in the Blue Mountains. Good gear though
