攀登 in Shiralee Wall

This is quite fun. I bailed into Most persecuted politician in history before rapping in to place the bolts.

I should clean up a bit of moss. Then it should be an ok route.

Much fiddling of gear doing this ground up. Not sure if it is worth putting a bolt in. Knowing about the cam you can't see from below probably helps. Top wall has fiddly gear as well, so the search for gear detracts a bit from the climbing. Fun moves over bulge though.

With Ray. Good climbing but being able to step off right into the grade 8 at many points lower down detracted a bit. Puzzle at the top bolt as the obvious moves were on uncleaned rock just left of the bolt. Moves up to the top bolt were quite committing, having to high-step above the #3 camalot which is the only effective piece and while good, not what I'd call beyond doubt bomb-proof. This lead took me a deal longer than that of 'Tallness is something other people suffer from' (but then I do have some degree of tallness. Impressive leads from Wendy who does not have tallness.

With Ray. Not bad. Easier lead than 'I am a Banana Expert' despite having a harder move. Loose rocks on the traverse to the rap anchor makes it dangerous having more than one party in the area. We had a close call when a loop of rope flipped a sizeable rock off. Needs a clean up there.

Nice climbing, not so nice gear

Everything this side of Shiralee is better than the routes left of Shiralee! Nice rock, cruisy climbing, maybe a little run out if your were a beginner.

Nice steady climbing. Take small cams. Might be 16? We're really not sure at these grades.

Good fun, three interesting sections

Typically bold, take microcams and be prepared to run it out. Super bunched on the crux.

I thought this was quite good. The rock's not perfect and it's quite bold - there is no gear for the crux and you'll hit a ledge, and maybe the ground later. The climbing is interesting though and varied and feels like a bit of an adventure.

don't know why this has a star. only a small amount of climbing seperate from dingbats, sharing its poor rock and poor gear.

Good route, nice climbing, best rock on the wall. top bulge seems a tad hard for 19 but maybe it's the 2 months I had off.

This is really good - slabby start, interesting corner then a steep bulge with a crack.

This is really not good. Poor rock, poor gear, don't bother.
