攀登 of Omaha Beach having 攀爬攻略

Tricky sequence of slab moves off the deck to onsight with no warm-up. One fall on the bolt and then another on the nut above it after missing the obvious pocket.

Retro log - tough start

Just first pitch, walked off

Feared for my ankles, having missed the obvious first nut placement after the bolt. Smoothly after.

Hard slab start on the first pitch - gets better after 4 moves. Exciting traverse on the start of the second pitch on great hand holds and not so great footholds.

Just did second and third pitch after panzer's first

First pitch only. Tricky start

Fell on the first bit of gear above the bolt while casually chalking, no onsite for me...

Loved the first pitch (difficult start). Glad to have seconded the second as the roof wasn't super easy!

Lead the first pitch, first moves are tough for the grade.

Secon and third pitch only

Linked the first pitch of panzer with second pitch of Omaha Beach. A fantastic climb, bring some tricams for the slab after the break, lengthened the pitch to 50m

Mostly really good rock

What a nasty start

The crux on the first is hard and quite reachy. I couldn't stick it, ended up aiding past with the bolt and a nut. Once I made the belay, the weather came in and bucketed on us. Like wrath of god style. Soaked to the bone and with the face looking like Niagra Falls, we rapped off a study tree.

With Ray. Led 1 &2. Start felt insecure in warm conditions. Lots of easy climbing between the harder bits.

2nd pitch is the beauty on this...though the first is just bouldering slopers

First pitch only. Hard first moves.

Undone by Elvis legs at the wire.

Lead the 2nd and 3rd pitches together. Lucky to get away with some poor decision making and letting my head run away.

Fell on the first move and lowered. Did this a couple of times. Stuck the move and off we went. Really stoked I kept my head together on this. Still yet to lead the 2nd pitch.

Stu led. I peeled off the first move a couple of times and started again before I stuck it and got up the rest of the pitch. Good fun. I found the second pitch for sustained that the first.
