攀登 in Carborundum Wall as Lead

Good. Went left at the piton instead of right, felt terminal, really makes you think... until back on route when to the side of the orange. Made a bomber belay before the committing moves, which is much safer than just doing it in a single pitch. Generally good gear and safe when on route.

Nice route. Not as complicated a rap as it was made out to be.. maybe just avoid rapping down the 17 variant of pitch 4 and go left down the 24 instead.

Absolute choss-fest from midway through the second pitch until the top.

The crux moves on pitch 3 were great. The exposure and position is incredible and the wind blasting around the face gave it an "out there" feeling, but these ~2 bolts of climbing are the only reason I didn't rate this route "Don't Bother" or even "Crap".

With a bit of work the first 3 pitches could be cleaned up to make this a nice route. I can't speak for the grade 24 pitch-4 variant, but I would definitely not do the top 3 pitches every again.

Rapping down with a single 60m rope was an absolute pain too. To the aspiring chossateer: Take two ropes! Rapping back down the route took 6 raps (the description claims you can make it from the Airtime anchors to the start of pitch 4 but this was no way possible). Some pitches required traversing raps using quickdraws to hold the rope in place, fixing the rope to the next anchor and the second removing the draws. And pitch 4 requires an overhanging rap a few metres past the anchor and then scrambling back up.

Pitch 2 can be rapped straight downwards and join the Leaving On a Jet Plan chains rather than rapping the traversing pitch 2.

Got on this thinking it was Remains of the Day. I was rather surprised by the 3rd pitch! A good line though I found the crux moves to be rather awkward. Overall a good line in a great position.

Nicer and easier than I thought it would be. 1PM start worked a treat, had the whole thing in the shade with cool temps and a nice breeze.

Good fun on a lovely day. Lead the 24 variation on the 4th pitch which made it more challenging. Rapping down the same way took a long time

got it! so happy to squeeze my way out the top after two attempts, being sh!t scared in pain with skin off everywhere slowly grinding my way up cliping rusty pitons! along the way and yet I can't wipe the smile off my face!
