攀登 in Grampians by Chris Snell

Great new bolts all the way. This is now very safe and accessible for a Taipan route. The crux jump is harder than the mirage dyno.

Started via the first two bolts of Father O. Makes for a more consistent route - at least that’s what I’m telling myself until I figure out the crux!

Stand start is good. Similar to Rick and Morty’s in style. Maybe about V6/7. Can’t solve the sit start!

Really good and longer than it appears. I approached by traversing in from the left to the start anchors then dropping a rope to my belayer on the ground. Possibly the quickest way to approach but a little exposed in places

Accessed from the top and top-roped before redpointing. After a hard start it is nicely continuous in terms of difficulty with no easy sections but also nothing desperate.

Long quickdraws useful on pretty much every bolt. Great fun

Beautiful Taipan groove moves all the way. Pretty accessible really and no stopper moves. Get on it!

Quite tough for the grade but well protected. Has a lovely move around the first bolt that feels like a gym move.

V6 Boulder on monos off the top of the 22. Quite a nice little sequence.

Really fun. Probably a couple of grades easier than listed.

Good gear. Route is straight up the central crack in the middle of the buttress. Step 1 metre right before going over bulge.

Awesome. I jumped for the sloper instead of heel hooking

Great problem. Each move is about 2% easier than the one before

I climbed the arête front on and used the three finger sloper about a foot left of the high pinch. Not sure if that’s legit but it felt like the obvious sequence to me.
