攀登 in Left Main Wall by Aaron Rowley

Lead up to the last bolt just to check the crux moves out then thought 'screw it, I'll go for the onsight.' One big whipper later and I was safely on the ground again. Gonna try the top rope next time!!

A bit runout... especially when you forget to bring a sling! But that just adds to the fun!!

Don't let the high first bolt put you off. The moves up to it are easy and the rest of the route is fun!

By the time I figured out the crux sequence my arms were like jelly. Lowered off, rested and climbed straight through second go. Still hard!

Fun climb except for getting stung by a wasp halfway up! Beware...

Warm-down. Fun moves on spaced carrots.

Put up top-rope for dad.

Got to be one of the easiest mantles at KP. Dodgy looking carabiner at the lip though.

Crap climb. Difficult for the grade.

Wasn't sure what the hell I was supposed to do in the middle section but managed to get past it anyway. Not that fun...

Nice to finally lead it! Wasn't even that scary. Felt smooth the whole way.

Hard start followed by a hard middle section finishing with a ridiculous overhang. Hardest part was still clipping the 4th bolt!

Avoided the prickles this time. Much more enjoyable!

Awesome climb!! A bit nervy with the potential for some ledge falls but well worth the stress. Would be a scary lead if you were short!

Warm-Up.

Fantastic climb. The mantle's almost as hard as the overhang. 2nd shot.

Led the last two bolts after dad bailed.

Fun route. First at the grade!

Warm-up

In the pouring rain. Rock was still surprisingly grippy.

Hard start to much easier ground. Bolts were difficult to find at night.

Not enough strength to pull through the crux. Fell past the overhang and got rope caught behind leg. Nasty rope burn!

Super hard first clip. Third bolt was pretty awkward too.

Interesting and varied climb for beginner leaders!

Must have been funny to watch!

Much easier than FOBS...
