Much better than I was expecting

Contrived.

My taste has clearly changed. Did this 20 yrs ago and thought it average. It was the best route we did today.

Better than route to left

Nice climb, pretty good sandstone, and surprised no one else has put up a few more fine sports routes.

There’s a big block to the left as you reach the ledge that looks like it’s ripe to plummet

May have improved with traffic. Quite good, except for whomever coated each hold with chalk- totally unnecessary and reduces friction. Single bolt anchor up top. May be a good area to do the rebolting and fix anchor arrangement.

Quite interesting for the grade. Rpt, from aeons ago.

Very old school grade, very mossy and second bolt looks suss. Despite this it is an interesting climb that deserves a re bolt. Best to continue up hand crack above ledge ( past dead tree ) to cartwheeling mid anchors.

Nice long route, the rock on the ledge is obvious to avoid

Less crux than the two right of it, soa better lead for our friend

The engineering job on the shaking flake is a bit scary. Would have best been trundled or wall left alone.

The step left was a bit daunting

FFA. For a change I found this easier than Dave, the undercling traverse may suit the short.

FFA. May have been done previously? Done by 6 people, and the other climbers at the crag thought it looked ok and were considering bringing a trad rack in to do it. #5 or #6 handy.

Probably just first climb of the day syndrome, but I didn’t like it that much.

Quite a good warm up for a short climb. Nothings very positive.

Contrived, if you are tall you could bridge the whole way until the exit.

Nice climbing at start, the short will find the second bolt tricky to clip.a good addition

Really nice moves. The “New” guidebook isn’t very good for this area.

A little ledge, Harding start

Definitely not the best 16 trad route in the mountains, but one of the easier for the grade. Would be a 12 in the Watagans.

Just guessing at grade. It is a nice position, and may clean up with traffic, and provides another warmup option which is all good.

Felt stiff, probably because it was cold and the wind was knocking me off

The crux is definitely the starting slab. The corner is ok but a shame it was retrobolted. I guess other people like it.

I hate it when I spend the day doing routes I did before, but obviously not remembering them. Must be attracted to the same lines....

Rpt, some spaced bolts keeps one engaged

Actually enjoyed this one today. No recall of times past

Pretty soft for grade. May have felt 18 on trad.

Nice rock and sequence up high. The hardest and better of the 3 18s

In its new iteration it’s quite fun.
