Tuggeranong Hill is CNP land, the Plan of Management can be found here. Most of the reserve is classified Zone 1; where conservation is the priority.
Of particular note is the Pink-Tailed Worm-Lizard which likes the same areas we do. Impacting the rocks and vegetation under boulders will result in closures similar to those at Black Mountain.
Adherence to these practices should allow Tuggeranong Hill to remain open as a low visitation crag, primarily those in surrounding suburbs.
Notes:
Drive to Florence Fuller Crescent, Conder, ACT, and park near the access road adjacent to number 15. Walk up the access road to the fire trail that runs along the base of Tuggeranong Hill. Follow the fire trail to the right for about 100 metres until you see a creek line on your left. After ducking under the fence, turn right and head up the hill on the right side of the creek. This boulder is large and obvious, and visible from the fire trail at the base of the hill.
No chipping and no bolts. Use traditional gear to set up a fixed line if you're unsure.
