攀登 in The Headwall

So close on the onsight - fell clipping the anchor with the rope in my mouth. Had just enough fall time for a moment of clarity: “I should probably open my mouth soon…” Sent next shot, trusting those torques!

Probably the harder of the M6+ routes here.

Epic first ice route. Getting that mileage in, always learning new ice technique.

First mixed lead. Pretty cool and more obvious holds than the left M6.

love this climb! just watch you feet on the first and second ledge as lots of loose stuff that can fall onto people below.

Lots of loose rock at station 2 and 3.

Tricky ice with some chandeliering low down. Easier higher.

Cleaned route.

Less ice than before. Tricky at the top.

Did it clean with a bit of practice.

Better condition than before. Interesting moves to the anchor.

Fun to get on this again. Got to lead it sometime.
