Hot hard climbing in the sun, I found the bottom half quite tough so i really earnt my roasted pine nut hummus, organic brown rice crackers, marinated green olives, wine infused salami and reduced provolone and smoked chedder cheese with blackcurrant kombucha post-climb snack. Thanks for the patient belay J.

Missed the chance for a lead but enjoyed a couple of clean laps.

Tough bouldery crux

The pin scars were full of dirt so we stepped in from Devil's at half-way so not the true line. Pulled on some gear proper to get through top crux but some amazing moves up there. Cleaning up the scars on rap for future ascentionists and boom! Ants! No one needs an ant crux.

I've come to talk with you again

Tantalisingly close, three attempts on the lower half before finishing up top. Eliminated a gear stance below crux.

Lesson- properly warm up with movement specific to the route, flash pump isn't just something trad dads tell their kids about to make them eat their veggies, it's real!

Revision and refinement

Linked 1&2 and 3&4 as seems to be the standard, full bodied, full of flavour moreish climbing - so very satisfying and even more so to climb it with my dear brother.

We came, we saw, we jammed and we left jaja. Highlight of the morning was actually randomly bumping into fellow Qlder and all-round champ Matt R in the carpark - a real climber's climber that lad.

Outrageous position P2, old school 16 for sure but so many tasty jams to keep you in the fight. For a four starred climb we found the rap setup of the chockstone pretty average.

Así es- no hay nada mejor que eso. El baile hacia arriba, entre la escalada pared y grieta, nunca ha sido tan estimulante y gratificante.

Came up short with wrong body position at crux but learnt some funky ow moves for it next time. Bd no.7 still failing to engage on this one but had backup.

Bit of gear failure with the brand new bd #7 causing a spooky retreat.

First pitch of Pintle, second LHV then rapped back down for last pitch of Pintle. Second pitch is something special.

It was one of those days, not like other ones- days that hurry all too fast along, this day holds firm, steeped in the memories and emotion on Angels. Like a deep spring, it is an adventure to nourish a climber's soul, to draw from for many seasons and sessions to come. One of the most satisfying days I've had in years.
