Very popular mostly toproping area close close to Washington DC in Montgomery Co. Rock is schist with quartz blocks, but can be slick from years of climbing. Toprope anchors are often trees, so bring a static line.
A digital guidebook can be purchased for the area here: https://rakkup.com/guidebooks/carderock-climbing/ PATC also offers guidebooks for the area.
Take exit on to the Clara Barton Parkway to Carderock Park. Park at the Billy Goat Trail Section C northern carpark, and walk 5 minutes towards the Potomac river (Southwest). You will reach a cliffline and roughly directly in front of the trail is an access gully. Then, if you turn right you can access Jungle Cliff, or left for Hades Heights
