Several hangs, mostly to check-out gear.

First time in about 20yrs, but the rain meant I had to retreat.

First lead since the operation and it went well.

An honest 14. Trachyte, rather sharp in places. Fab view from the anchors.

Very nice climbing on big flakes. Definitely NOT a 15. 12ish, maybe a 13 at most.

First climb in 3mths or so. Knee still pretty tender. Got into trouble above the 2nd bolt, & ended up clipping one on Seeker, then resting on the 3rd bolt. Nice beginner route, trustworthy rock.

Had to step down, & reset, but got it in the end.

Took 2 attempts to pull it off.

Easy lap up this, mostly to get a TR on the 16.

Massive exposure. I consider left to right easier than the reverse.

The general consensus seems to be that this is the route.

It's cleaned up a lot in the intervening years. Pretty pathetic effort. Got stuck at the 4th bolt.

Pitches 1,2,3 & 5 were good. Pitch 4 a nightmare of broken, shitty rock + vegetation.

According to the grade, I've not climbed the correct route. Definitely nothing harder than 4-5ish. Hmmmm. 🤔

Rather heady exposure.

The overhanging purple. Straight up. A good day.

#38 bit tricky crux.

Nice moves over the crux.

2 grades harder than the left to right traverse. Tricky moves after the 2nd bolt.

Lovely traverse. Nice holds, nice moves.

Nice easy climbing.

Auto belay style, the purple, tricky, but made it.

2nd climb, but couldn't pull the overhang, got it 2nd shot.

Warm-up

Very straight forward, compared to the 8 next door.

Was a tricky crux, with the key footholds slippery. But figured out the move, after about 10mins of attempts. Then unclipped the bolt from the ledge above.

No biggie. Just carefully up it, with the rock a bit slimy.

Bit wet n slimy.

Purple on the right corner. Some nice moves up flakes.

Purple behind island. Needed a couple of rests.

Blue, next left. Nice. Plus down-climb.

The yellow next to the main door entrance. Nice warm-up + down-climb.

Tough, overhanging purple, on the island.

Blue, back wall, slightly overhung.

Purple on the corner, some interesting holds.
