攀登 in South Mitre as Hang dog

Epic climb!

Tough moves at the start of the second pitch. Took a rest at the crack.

Was psyched groveling and stemming up the shit filled chimney on the first pitch and then flailed on the overhead finger crack with slippery feet on the second pitch.

will go next burn; fumbled with gear on the onsight, then 2nd burn received a spicy catch; becoming more well-acquainted with the wall than I ever thought possible, and likely more than was necessary; will return for glorious vengeance once my right side is less tenderized/blue

Climbed in one long pitch. Might have gotten it first try if I didn't pump out at the crack while overthinking about the ledge right below me.

Now it’s 23 sandbag with fiddly thin pro

Found the crux tricky, but much more reasonable after a wee fall onto a good nut and rethinking it to find the nice jam.

Next time: Rack important gear in more accessible positions.

Used Kate’s knee to boost me up the first move on the second pitch. Otherwise such a fun climb.

Stout and technical. A fine line with a bolt to protect lower crux from loose block.

Not convinced I went the right way on P1. Had a sit on P2 before committing to moving around the rooflet.

Good lead by Doug. Very scary rock. Final overhang has huge jugs of you can reach with one high foot pocket and I just couldn't do it without a few sits. Too tired. Maybe if I was fresh.

Had to rest to extract my finger out of the fingerlock! Was scared of falling and breaking it. Did second attempt clean - more circumspect with the fingerlocks! Very good route - pretty pumpy.

One sit. Very sustained climbing. Well beyond my lead ability.
