攀登 in Central Slabs

this climb was bolted by a wanker. the bolts are placed just in a way where they arent doing their job properly like cmon guys how hard is it to move a bolt 30 cm higher so that you DONT smash your ankles on a ledge. this has a stupid bolting job which makes the climb bolder for no reason. i love this crag but some of the ethics demonstraited amazingly here are utter nonsense. probably 22

pretty sick climb, first 2 P are great hard friction slabs, featured with crimp flakes. Third crux pitch was not a slab but some cool vert moves, locks and crimpies. last is standard blocky runouts.

Some mega classic slabbing on the first 2 pitches! Crystal smearing on pitch 2 was mega! Took the 19 way for pitch 1 (I think?)Had a couple falls on pitch 3 trying to work out the beta, I didn't immediately see the crimps. Just gotta trust those feet! Although the 3 pitch feels a bit forced with the natural lines everywhere and pitch 4 was alright. All in all classic climb

X2 This is one of my favourite pitches at Booroomba. Steep, funky, exposed, kinda hard at the grade. There is really good gear, but you have to find it and figure it out. Tiny cams make things easier.

Top 70m with the traxion. My favourite Central Slabs route. The "22" bit is a cool steep boulder problem next to a bolt. Apart from those 3 moves, it's classic gr20 bottom to top.

This pitch is sensational, one of my favorites at the crag. Seems like it would be quite an exciting onsight (I wouldn't know, having opted to inspect the shit out of it).

What an absolute classic slab-athon! An absolute test-piece of Booroomba, stoked to Onsight 1st & 2nd but took a fall on the 3rd gr21 - lead everything clean after the fall 2nd pitch gr22 up the water streak is the money Definitely found a great frame of mind

Pitch 1 only. Soloed up to the tree, then led the lovely crack and short slab above. Brilliant weather, sunny and windy and cool, and super fun placing some good gear.

I have enough for the day and may be for rest of my life. Time to pack up and get the fuck out of here

Swung leads, Quite nice easy slabbing. Took a variant 5th, up the sharp dihedral at 20+

Scary climbing all the way, first through some slightly chossy rock and then a tough corner crack. Pretty stoked when I got to the top of the crack on lead! A tough but rewarding climb.

Wow, just wow. Went a little too far on the 4th pitch and ended up finishing on Rooty Hill instead of the last 2 pitches. All pitches are nuts! 3rd pitch doesn’t have much protection on the slab which is a little scary, although holds are good. Just gotta keep that head together and keep moving slowly but surely!

Excellent. A bit of excitement on every pitch.

Recently cleaned, good pitch. Either thrutch the offwidth to start, or climb the slab 2m right (about gr18 or gr15 if you stand on your belayer). Nice easy slabbing after the start, with small wires and tiny cams.

P2 is clean Finish up After the Reiving

P1 cleaned, climb 5m past first set of rings and belay at another set of rings out left on a narrow ledge (it's a loweroff for one of the hard routes). P2 and p3 are awful and bushy as hell, finish up Baryon, then After the Reiving.

P1 and P3 rebolted and recently cleaned, P2 looks pretty clean but needs new bolts.

Recently cleaned. Good steep crack. Not as grovelly as it looks.

Recently cleaned. Very good steep crack and face. Excellent gear which isn't always obvious.

Recently cleaned. Top pitch is high quality, but 15m without any pro, and a ledge to land on. Very serious at the grade.

P3 and P4 recently cleaned, whole route is clean. P3 is one move wonder with bolt at knees, probably only 22.

Recently cleaned. Do it in one pitch, double ropes might help. Crux is past the lone bolt (shorties will want a stiff draw). The rest of the route is about gr20 and eats RPs, but some of the placements are tricky to see.

Vent crack was average but the link up with Baryon was very nice. Swing leads with Arius.

Scary heading up from the diagonal line to the horizontal break.

Pitches one and two only, finishing up 'Take it all'. Fun slabbing!

Good adventure up the central slabs! Got a bit lost at the top, but the bottom few pitches are fun climbing in a great position.

Great climbing! The rock up the starting wall is a bit flakey, but good moves up an unlikely looking line. Tricky slab at the end with just enough of a run out to keep things interesting!
