攀登 in Illawarra and Shoalhaven having 攀爬攻略

Fun! Surprisingly dry after first 2m while nearby routes were wet. To sew it up bring #.5 - #5 and doubles of #2 - #4 for bumping.

Spicier than expected.

Used #.2 - #2 including two #1s. Pleasant! Some choss but easily avoided.

Another good belay tick, Micah Barnes on the send, Edelrid pinch on belay.

Has couple of nice moves and a bit thought provoking. I would give more stars if not the ledge in the middle of the climb and a cruxy move just above it.

Stoked, fun as climb. Took 5 sessions, falling 3 times above the crux. Very dialed by the end.

Held the last hold for just not long enough

I was lured in originally by a dude at a tibro rap station who frothed this line, then upon reading Iain Hunter s crag log about not having to pull that hard, i knew id have to see what the hoof is hissin up here. 3 seshies later, accompanied each time by georgia, who eventually sent the approach hike in evolves, i came away with a very unlikely result. 1st burn 3rd session, i went for a lash, threw the full laundry load at it and got tossed at the crux. Georgia went up there and found a new way to traverse the crux, claiming yet again she'd broken the beta. Naturally skeptical, i was on the fuckedge of not going for a second shot but georgia insisted i at least suss her magic genius-guy beta and dipstick clipped first before i could packup. I somehow made it back to the highpoint and figured with nothing to loose, id put all my biccies in the bucket of the girl that holds the slowest known time (skt) for descending caves route. I clipped and found myself above the crux. Terrified id fuck the dog on the final stem corner, i bridged as long as my calves held out and landed the most satisfying of alpine knees in the bushy ledge.

Id recommend this route to anyone that can climb 15 (you read correctly). Lights out movement thats never too burly the whole way up, well protected, and easy to aid.. because its literally an aid route. Very beta intensive, and a great opportunity to learn about the dark arts of stemming in a state that doesnt offer much of it apart from 27s at frog. Im still not real into projecting but to echo Angie's comments in a previous log, this one is worth it, even for the most purest of naked barefoot onsighters.

Only had a single #5, wish I had at least two more. Very quickly turned into a large runout above the middle to the finish. A lesson in dealing with difficult situations, and ultimately being better prepared with the right gear!

Massive chocked block on first ledge moves. It is side-to-side, and unlikely to come out from wall, but caution advised.

So good! Less desperate this time - found a bunch of rests and used chimney techniques in the middle.

Definitely a little harder than High on Crack, especially after a few burns through the crux

Crux move is definitely a little harder and dynamic for the short man (me).

Dropped it at the anchor, went for another go and was stitched up by a newly added tick mark, Went for a final go and used the wrong beta and came out of the undercling at the top. Should go next time I use the correct beta.

Feels good to be able to lap this on the way to the extension pitch after redlining my way through a redpoint of this 2 years ago. Still one of the best at the grade in nowra imo

Tricky start great climbing up top around the arete

1 fall (2 if you count taking off my working draw) on my 4th attempt felt like probably my best effort ever on a 29, definitely found my style in the steep (not roof) short climbs. Maybe one or two more sessions to put together the top.

So close to the onsight, went for the hold at the end of the 40cm tick mark, must've been a foot for later... Was a finger jug just next to it...
