攀登 in West Cape Howe

The finger crack was seeping and so we took an easier crack to the left that seemed around grade 19. Then stepped right onto the face. We were a bit confused at the start as there was 3 possible starts.

Very pleasant line. Nice mix of trad and fixed. Well done to the team.

I ALMOST had this one! Thought it was time to give an 18 a go. Airy climb with smashing swell beneath you is a great time to try hard right?!

I was very tempted to give myself a clean for this one too but being honest with myself I know there was one move that despite having two points of contact, if Ryan didn’t have me tight I would have come off so a dog it is, and I love dogs so I don’t mind.

Fun climb, secure crack and epic to climb with waves crashing all around you, whales breaching and the sun setting. Really proud of all I have learnt in the last few weeks that made this classic possible for me.

I honestly surprised myself on this one! Without my slap lesson yesterday I think I would have bailed V early. Despite the smooth beginning there was some very fun moves that I surprised myself with being able to do pretty easily. Shows what climbing consistently will get you!

2nd pitch is amazing! Possibly did 1st pitch wrong, traversed in on sketchy flakes and had hanging belay at base of crack, was awkward.

Absolute jamming thrill on the 2nd pitch.

Tried my luck giving it an onsight go and managed to get to the only hard move which I fumbled and fell off. Pulled back on and did the move next try and climbed to the top. Close but not close enough will have to come back for the Redpoint

Bloody hard climb and exciting bolt spacing dogged my way up think I did all the moves definitely would need more work to link. A lesson in slab climbing.

Had a go at the onsight but fell off. Climbed to top and lowers down leaving the gear in place and climbed it second try on pink piont. Incredible movement.

Fantastic arete climbing and views are insane.

Just an incredible line, frothed the whole way up!

Very cruisey climbing with good pro the whole way.

Led first pitch and fantastic climbing through the corner system.

Loved the finishing moves.

Thoroughly enjoyable climbing.
