Moderate to hard climbs, mostly multi-pitch in a very scenic kloof famous for its many crack climbs.
The Mountain Club of South Africa (MCSA) owns Mhlabatini. Access to non-members is restricted by permits issued by the Johannesburg section.

Parking is not on MCSA property but on a neighbour’s property and a parking fee applies. An access an parking fee register is located at the parking. Contact the MCSA for more access details.
From the parking walk to the stream, directly after crossing the stream turn left. A few meters further you will see a yellow sign and a ladder over a fence. Follow the path up next to the river. The path curves rightwards at the top. Just after going over the crest of the hill you will find the campsite. The walk in is slightly strenous and moving through the kloof can be challenging at times too (wading and scrambling required).
No fire allowed as per “No Fires in Magaliesberg Policy”. There is currently a moratorium on bolting in Magaliesberg.
