Ascents of Fat Mattress

Quite good moves, but broken by ledges beneath hard moves. Take a few yellow and blue camalots.

Really nice route, hard to get on, sandbag at 16

Really enjoyed the first part to the ledge. Then found it a little reachy, had my right foot placed poorly and slipped on my attempt back to the ledge....so unhappy with myself and lost a bit of confidence after that but completed it nonetheless.

It was only yesterday and already I can't remember anything about it... Nothing special I guess. And my memory's bad.

Direct start feels desperate but it's not too hard. Otherwise it's a sweet line.

Pretty interesting climb, especially with Lee leading, we weren’t sure how to start as we were going of guidebook and he fell at the start, thankfully had a cam as first piece and caught him before he fell down that gap, we the. Thought to start left, and Lee thought was a bit sketch, he was a bit left of venom start and mantled, other than that when seconding opted to go with the venom start which was minging crimps and bumping and was pretty cool, around sick climb especially at sunset

Nice jamming broken by ledges.

Advised Pete to get on this as it’s really nice. He loved it and should be done more often. Climb the groove 1m left of the direct which is protectable and climbs well.

Took the crack right from the bottom rather than the left hand bouldery mantle move. Found it to be pretty straightforward from the floor and very enjoyable. Acquiring the ledge and the move straight after are the tricky moments.

Had to have a sit because it was hot and I was tired... and all the other excuses

Was a struggle, but I got there in the end!

Classic! Climbed better than advertised. Cruised up the crack, sure felt nice hitting the ledges! Start was a bit funky, slipped off the first move.. technically not an onsite I guess!

A lot of fun, placed a lot of gear and took my time. Enjoyable climb!
