Ascents of Red Sleigh Down

An interesting addition, really enjoyed the gymnastic style of this one Lee! Constructively I would suggest anyone going to do this took a handbrush for the first ledge as it is super dirty but I think it will clean up into a good mantle move really quickly. I think it was possibly a little harder than 21. Be really solid in the moves between 2-3 bolt when you get on this.

Bit manky getting off the dirt ledge and then the crux, bloody hell its hard!

Definitely harder than Rudolf and suboptimal bolt placements with ledge fall potential. Crux move good but nails. Wouldn’t be out of place for a 24. Could be reach, but I note others found it hard.

Three sandy mantels guard a few nice moves to the finish. Ehhhh.

Take long Draws , used Tree on first move ,Long Move through bludge may have missed some pockets ,Really sharp holds and yeah your rope will get wet on the clean

Another really cool one here. A fair bit different to the others further out along the wall. Some fun, challenging, interesting positions. Again, worth it just for the beautiful setting amongst the trees and water.

3 stars for the location

A few good moves in the top half, rather rubbish in the bottom half. I liked the crux move, though. Be careful mantling the sandy ledge.

Would happily do all the climbs here again and again, bar this one.

A few weird mantley moves in a row earns you a tricky crux.

FFA. A touch harder than the 20s. The name manages to weave in the themes of Christmas, South Park and Jimmy. This also happens to be my 300th first ascent in Australia.
