Ascents in Rigby Hill having Beta

Ended up climbing this in pitch black. It's very run out, so if this is your lead limit, it might feel a bit scary. I thought it was easy for an 18. Very fun climb.

Fantastic position! A little hard to find the bolts on top, there's a few other positions bolted nearby that might lure the unwary. Be sure to find the 3 exposed highline bolts before committing to the rap.

Nice height and good climbing on the arete!

Brilliant climbing. Make sure to rap towards the left looking out - I went right and had quite a fight making it down the arete. Start was probably the crux. Forcing myself to step left onto the juggy overhang took surprisingly long!

Fun. Enough room for three on the belay ledge. Still some loose rock.

Abseil off two carrots, not the four highlining bolts. We abseiled down Born To Be Mild, redirecting as we went, then tied rap line to the belay ledge anchor. We removed the redirects for the second abseil to minimise abrasion.

Great vision to bolt this line which allows intermediate climbers to experience an insane position. You zig-zag up an arete above hundreds of metres of void, in one of the most picturesque locations in the mountains.

Alex got the onsight of this while I took photos rigged on a line next to him. I then climbed this more terrified than expected. It was an insane spot to be. Really nice movement and great holds.

Butt puckering exposure! Just like the money pitch on whymper but on steroids. The rap in is just as exciting.

Make sure you use the correct anchors for the abseil. The 4 rings are not for this climb, it's either for highlining or someones project.

Awesome climb with great exposure! Some unexpected thunder and lightning heightened the experience.

Doesn't get much more classic. Straight forward jugging up the super exposed Arête.

Outrageous position, climbing the arête a couple of hundred metres above the deck makes this worthwhile. Sorted out my hangover.

Amazing location approx 300 Metro above the valley floor. Plenty of iron stone and friable foot holds.

NOTE: When you arrive at the ring bolt anchors at the top of the climb. There are some carrots further up. For convenience and safety reasons , it is probably best to set a static from the carrots, rap down between the routes to the belay ledge. Be sure to keep bouncing so you can get to the belay ledge after getting below the overhang.

Another fantastic pitch from an unbelievable position. If you can get a mate to the Cliff Top Lookout with a telephoto lens you can snap some incredible pics. The climbing starts technical along the arete then turns amazing overhanging jugs with ass puckering exposure. Get on it!

These routes are not for the faint of heart. If you can handle massive exposure, then these two routes are not to be missed. The liebacking through the corner makes you feel like a sexy climbing god.

Another stunning route! Amazing exposure and some really great climbing through the middle section. Get on it!

Great setting, average climbing.

While setting the abseil I dropped my climbing shoe... As it turns out, climbing in hiking shoes is fine too. Great Exposure! Really worth doing just for that! and the views are spectacular!

big scares on a super windy day

ridiculous exposure - classic 'thrown in the deep end' adventure a few years back

Better climbing than its neighbour, though the rock is still average and the exposure is less. Felt a bit soft at the grade, but I enjoyed it as a warm-up. Nice stemming and laybacking.

The position is great, the rock quality and the climbing is average. Hardest move is off the belay, then about 17 to the top. Perhaps a bit unnecessarily run out (especially at the start).

Awesome route. Pulling the rope and being "stranded" at the little ledge only adds stars to this route!!! Had to abseil down past the ledge, as the wind wouldn't let me reach it at the same level!!

Awesome, awesome route! Getting to the ledge is the crux! Hehe!
