Ticks the boxes, the location, the view, good climbing and intimidating. Freed with a single hang (slipped off below the terrible bash-in bolt thank goodness), then seconded clean to get our gear.

Accessed via Pintle Left Hand. First hex head is a little large, RP branded hanger didn't fit. PFH plate was fine with a little persistence. Rest of bolts are smaller. Very unique climb, good friction test.

top roped and couldn't do without rests - shouldn't grab the arete with both hands! first bolt pretty high and is doable a bit short but quite sustained while its going - would like to lead sometime

As classy as it looks. Fantastic precise moves will make you look as photogenic as the setting. Placed the plates and draws on the rap but didn't inspect the holds, so I'll put it as a flash. Good thing too as the first bolt has a large head and may require the right size plate/ some fiddling. Dean cruised up after on lead.

Full summer sun for added spice. Despite being less than impressive at first sight (those classic photos are rather deceptive) the climbing is stellar and poetic. Slabby arete-slapping, foot-smearing tai-chi. Climbers movement up apparent nothingness. Fluidic.

So this what sport climbing in Buffalo Gorge feels like. Nothing like having a cheering crowd and a curious being asking questions while your last bolt is 3m below you. In my opinion, for the full experience don't preplace the draws. Who wouldn't want to feel the shakes of placing a bolt plate whilst your feet are on nothingness and the last bolt might not prevent the deck.

A well spaced bolt would lead to a very strong lead. Very much enjoyed this climb on top rope. Great slabby goodness.

For a friends lead attempt i bouldered up to the very high first clip and then lowered. On my lead attempt i left that pre clipped and flashed the rest of the route. Very cool smear liebacking!

if only i didn't get scared on the onsight i would have got it but instead grabbed the second draw for a rest. cruised the second later on to the applause of some hikers. not such a bad slab given the arete you can pinch all the way.
