Ascents in Pond Gully having Beta

Really good climbing, but crack still a bit flakey. Access not too bad via Smileshine at The Jim, and single pitch mostly horizontal scramble to reach start of the climb. Cool moves on first pitch, changing into the more typical Cape Raoul burlfest by the third pitch. Awesome long section of hands high up on the 3rd pitch. Full 60m pitch to ledge, but other chances to belay from 45m.

Very pleasant easy climbing,but be careful of loose rocks on ledges at top!

A great line in a spectacular place; expect to be photographed by hikers. The pitch is long and eats gear; 3 sets of BD #1-3 wouldn't go amiss, nor would a 1 or 2 BD #4. (On the plus side you don't need to carry doubles). Lack of traffic means the start is a little sharp.

We did it in 4 pitches, but with 60m ropes, a few more 3's and a whole lot more stamina, it could have been done as 3 pitches. Will probably get a little easier with more traffic, but should still test out your fisting skills...

An amazing pitch! Lost the fight for lead, but was still hard enough on second. Technically no harder than a 19 hand to fist crack, but the most full-on enduro climb I've probably done.

With Dave and Zach. Stepped L into chimney to finish, direct finish is to a slopey, dirt and rock-covered ledge with no feet!

With Dave and Zach. Easy pitches to start and finish, but middle pitches are awesome, especially stepping off the pinnacle
