Ascents of Blaze of Glory

Worked the route on top rope a bit today.

This is actually such a beautiful route! Sketchy between draw one and two as mini-crux can throw you to the ground, but all the holds are there. The boulder problem at the top is still hard, but I got it first go today. I would climb this more often if it wasn’t for that sting in the tail.

I thought I had it dialed, and then I hit the roof! Took some work to find a sequence through, but went as smooth as butter.

I just cranked this on my 22 challenge, but really enjoyed this today. I know how to do the top now and would climb it again.

Sketchy 2nd bolt. Amazing crux in an airy position -- high left heel and lock off on the right hand in a postbox hold then rock over and top out.

Kind of a retro flash. Was last on this 3 years ago(?) and was a nemesis route, in fact I injured a pulley on it. Climbed in and out of the crux a few times before going for it. Definitely not a push over 22. Climbed as 9th pitch of the day after doing mileage at Fawty. Climbed with Josh.

Repeat. Crux pocket was a puddle

Finally sent this route!! Really just have to crank it down for that last move 🤪 The route is easy to read.

Felt a little run out. Was good fun and the crux wasn't that bad
