Ascents in Africa by Matt Schimke having sport-cpr or ascent-date

A fight! Happy to pull through and get the Onsight. My thoughts on the grades. I think they align almost exactly with Australian grades, at least up to grade 24. After that there is an evident difference in the grades. This would be 24 in Australia any day of the week.

Wet day. Thought I would try this. Ended up taking about 15 minutes total to figure out the sequence and send. (2)

Pretty pumpy warm up.

Techy overhung corner.

Bouldery start on good crimps.

Hard crux into pumpy climbing.

Continuously amazing

Fudged up Onsight with a foot slip but got it okay next shot (2).

Stuffed up crux sequence first shot. (2).

Damn good! Continuous and pumpy.

Hard finger locking.

Cool crimp sequence. Nice. (2).

Damn hard in the humidity. Two shots but just couldn't make the crux from the ground.

Contrived, of course.

Hard move to get onto the arete.

Slippery

Hard move at second bolt.

Unique and kind of hard!

Fell off the Onsight attempt staring at the anchors. Hard to Onsight!

Horrible but cool at the same time. Undergraded.

Short and burly for grade

Onsighted to the two wasp nests and then bailed. Sad. Think I would have gotten this first shot otherwise.
