Vertical crimpfest. Absolutely loved it. Eases off towards the end.

An easy (~17) to the upper crux (~21) of Minefield. Had to push hard at the end. Absolutely loved it. Note that I basically had to downclimb the route clean it.

A Cape Town classic. I still think it's a bit soft compared to other 21s (this was my first 21 and flashed it soon after I started climbing).

Had to deal with a pocket full of water which is the last decent rest before the crux. I suspect that this may always be the case after rain. One of the best routes I've climbed.

Send on the second go.

Fun, bouldery. I think 21 if you climb along the bolts, felt 20 climbing along all the chalked up holds just to the right.

Must do if you're keen for short powerful route at grade 20/21

First 3/4 is brilliant (similar to Drop Zone but a bit harder). The end is pretty chilled. Well worth climbing.

The first few bolts are definitely worth doing. Very soft at the end though. The last bolt before the anchors is way off to the left - looks like rock is quite bad at the end.

Kind of found this easier than Zucchini. But similarly hard at the start and eases off past the third bolt.

Tricky overhang to finish. A nice little challenge at a beginner crag - definitely a 20.

Fun pumpy sustained climb. Look for the kneebar in the lower half.

Save some juice for the end.

Short vertical bits between ledges but the holds are cool. Lots of two and one finger pockets.

Eep, pretty exposed route! Loved it, but it was more than I expected for my warm-up 😂 spoilers: it's blind but it's there!

Some tricky traverse sections, very enjoyable.

Solid 19. Like many of the other climbs around it, the rock quality at the bottom is poor. Pre-clip the first bolt if you can, the top is bullet hard, high quality climbing.

Felt right hard in 35 degree weather on a fun introductory outing with the family.

Impressive climb. Some forced handjams, good rests and a dyno at the end (although I have seen it done statically/boring)

Just thought I'd give this a burn on top rope while it was up. Had to take a rest halfway up. What a beast.

Low overhang crux where the right sequence is well rewarded.

Fun granite climbing in Cape Town. Nice tricky section at the top.

All round fun climb

Nice variety of climbing at a fairly consistent grade

No way this is a 19 if Rapunzel is a 19. Based on the hardest section of the climb this should be a 20.

Nice and sustained.

Lots of short sections from ledges. Not great for me.

Felt like a good climb. More sustained than its neighbours.

Interesting slab boulder problem at the bottom. Felt like a 19 to me.

Hand popped off of the first hold on the first try, then sent it! Bouldery and crimpy - loved it.

A must do 18 at the crag. Slab into layback into overhang. Fun!

Fun bit of exposure high up.

Crux is a bit blind off a sloper. Very enjoyable.

Cool bouldery route with some big moves. We had a bit of a discussion regarding the last bolt - making use of the holds on the right for a rest MAYBE makes it feel more like a 21?

Its all about that technical traverse at the start. I think its worth doing at the grade.

Maybe a little easy for the grade, especially after the first three clips.

Incredible route, was belaying new people on the day so didn't have time for a lead send but even on top rope this was a gem.

Just an all-round great climb. Full relatively big moves to blind jugs.

As advertised, the bottom section of rock isn't great, but never felt unsafe and ended up being a very good climb over all.

Don't expect a challenge, this is about 2 meters of crimpy vertical 18 into a 15.

Varied climbing, quite traddy. Went up the slabby section on the right - felt hard.

Admittedly its only one move that makes it an 18 (getting over the roof at the end), but the rest is fun with some varied climbing.
