Ascents in Dreadnought Gully

Didn't expect to stick the crux so had to hang around and get my trad rack thrown up so I could climb the rest of the route 😅. First move is desperate but the rest is great fun

Sharp crimps into nice crack into dicky mantle. Pitch 1 only.

Difficult first move, then lovely climbing. Almost blew the mantle at the end!

Just p1, 3rd shot. Packs a lot for the length.

Start a little hard to protect for committing move. Otherwise cool, pretty stiff tho.

Alex did a beautiful assent! And then shortly after declaring it was time to untie and walk home, I thrashed my way up for an unlikely send. This is not grade 22 btw. Definitely minimum 23.

1 burn putting the gear in. 2 send attempts. Keen to come back. Was getting to the crux. From gaining the rail (top of vert section) get high feet then throw left to pinch with thumb catch on slippery block. Then bump left to good jug then one more hard move.

Thought the first pitch was kinda average (short, bouldery, uninspiring and on average rock for Arapiles), but P2 was mega (great rock, gnarly oozy moves, cool position). Linked both pitches for a more interesting outing.

Wow! What a line. For such a short route, this one packs it in with wiiiiild climbing on great rock. Linking this into P2 of Dreadnought makes this line a proper classic!

Classic day out Hilarious big wall tactics, including haul bag and other questionable ethics, leading to each of us cleanly leading and seconding our respective pitches but not in any particular order. So funny

start boulder is whack but i think this is on the 'to lead' list. super cool moves

sus of moves on the first pitch. kinda happy with how i read the crux - less happy with the skipping of the weird but definetly easier bit after the crux lol

Did not expect this one to go down second round, however what a hoot! Super pumpy but fun!

Very enjoyable climbing with some tiny crimps up high. Basically a sport route with a single bolt up high protecting the entire crux.

Really good, some big moves.

Found the gear fiddley on the os. Didn't give it another go
